| Description | This is one of the rarest Italian Pens in near perfect condition. The pen was made in the era of Mussolini in Italy, thus the typical eagle of the period. The pen was destined to be used by the Italian soldiers in Etiopia, thus the desert white color and the filling system adapted to the hot weather: The blind cap at the barrel end holds compressed dry ink. one of these dropped into the barrel, and then the barrel was filled with water. However, this very beatyful pen never really was a succes, thus it is very very rare nowadays. This Etiopia is in fantastic condition, almost no color change, no cracks. Looks like it has never been in use. See the unscrewed section still like untouched by ink. |
