| Description | Just arrived - newly made Piston seals to perfectly fit the piston rods of Pelikan 100N and Pelikan 140/400/400NN pens. You just need to snap off the old seal(do not forget to heat the old seal, snap off cold might break the piston rod) the new seal perfectly snaps on, no glue needed. There are 2 diameters, 9.0 mm (transparent) and 9.1-9.2 mm (green) . smaller size is perfect for most 1950ies pens from 140 to 400NN . it may also be good for some late 100N barrels. Larger size is for many 100N barrels as well as for all the barrels that needed a polish (or a reaming) of the barrel inside. As its almost impossible to measure the diameter we recommend you take a small assortemt of both colors - just let us know with the order the amount of each diameter/color needed. These seals can also be used with the old version of the 100N - the version that takes the cork seal. It is possible to swap piston rod for a modern one, that takes a plastic seal. This way you can use the ebonite mechanism in combination with a modern plastic seal. Normally this barrel needs the larger seal. but you never know - especially as these amber color barrels are from celluloid - and might have shrunk a bit. |
