1898 - 1947
Roy Conklin introduced the first selffiller, a pen, to be filled without any further
instrument, like a pipette. The Crescent filler features an elegant metal halfmoon in the
middle of the barrel. When pressed, the rubber bladder inside was compressed and thus
filled with ink. Important pens: the Crescent (1905) and the Endura, a leverfiller,
(1924). |
